A special tribute to the memory of Hundertwasser was created by the English sculptor Aidan Hart with his portrait bust of the artist. Richard Coote commissioned this bust for the Birkdale Intermediate School in Auckland, New Zealand. A second cast was produced for the Hundertwasser Foundation in Vienna.
Even though his earthly life ended on February 19, 2000, Hundertwasser lives on in his works, his architecture, his philosophy – and each day thousands of people experience his message of beauty in harmony with nature.
In the words of Hundertwasser: EVERYTHING IS SO INFINITELY SIMPLE, SO INFINITELY BEAUTIFUL.
